“No calling is greater, nobler, or more fulfilling than that of motherhood.”
I remember when I was a young 11 year old girl, on the floor of my bedroom dreaming about the day that I would become a mom. The planner that I am, planned out that I would have five kids (3 boys and 2 girls to be exact) and of course I knew what all their names would be. I envisioned that my kids were going to be good kids and motherhood was going to be a wonderful thing. I literally could not wait.
When I held my first born in my arms, my dream of becoming a mom finally came true. In so many ways motherhood was wonderful, just like I had expected when I was 11, but in so many ways motherhood was very hard. In this hard uncomfortable place I found a deeper relationship with God. I realized how much I needed Him and how much I needed a big heart overhaul.
I know I am not alone in these feelings and I want to encourage you sweet mama to keep fighting the good fight. I want to encourage you with all my heart to keep your focus on God. It is through our beautiful moments and broken pieces that God shines through. So sweet mamas, lets let Him Shine!
When I am not writing, you can find me hanging out with my husband of 13 years and my two kiddos. I love a warm cup of coffee in the morning and I am known for throwing random dance parties in the kitchen. I am glad we are on this motherhood journey together! Can’t wait to connect with you.
